Happy Anniversary

Reminded by a friend/ex-coworker’s blog post earlier, today is my one year anniversary at my current job. It’s been a full year now, and looking back I can whole-heartedly say that my quality of life and the happiness that goes along with it has seen an immense improvement since I made the switch.

Do I miss working with some of the friends I had at my old job? Of course. I made several friends that I’m sure will be a part of my life for a very long time. I still miss some aspects of the consulting work I used to do as well. But would I consider voluntarily putting myself back in a situation where I was on the road a majority of the time and was foregoing personal relationships outside of work to do so? Nope. Not for a second, at this stage in my life, and not for any amount of money you could offer me.

Here’s to (hopefully) another great year.
